At first i though I’m going to miss the cable, however using this model right on the wall or extension is just much more convenient that having a cable somewhere. It makes it even more obvious for me to notice the battery especially when it’s on the wall.

The rest is just similar to the kit charger.

I already have one and decided to get another to keep in my bag. It works great and does tell me when it is ready to go, or if I am 3/4 charged if I need it bad enough.

Wide open performance is oK. The build quality sucks, or should I say, is on par with the same mid-level junk that most companies are feeding us these days. Comparable build to the nikon 18-70. ( I like my wide tokina better but it’s af noise is almost unusable in some situations.) On the tamron, without being mishandled or dropped the filter ring really loose after 3 months of use. It doesn’t appear that it can be tightend down with the screws easily either. Also severe dust problems with back element after 4 months. If you’re a pro or can afford it go with the nikon 17-55. You always get what you pay for and I think this is my last 3rd party lens.

After receiving this battery I noted that the older version received did not charge as quickly as the newer ones. The seller accepted the return with no problem at all and refunded the purchase price. Other than the battery not being right for me, the process was very easy and the seller very helpful.

At the time this charger seemed to be out of stock everywhere. B & H and also Adorama didn’t have it in stock. So I think this retailer took advantage and charged extra for the charger. $20 more than anywhere else. I was desperate as I couldn’t find mine and needed a charger that week so I had no choice but to order it from this seller.

You get what you pay for and I should have waited and saved my pennies to get Canon glass. Tamron does make good lenses but the focus is slow, noisy and just does not compare to a L series Canon lens. You do get what you pay for in my opinion. I will be purchasing the wide angle Canon lens in the future and attempting to resell this on Amazon for someone who may want not need what I need in pictures. I just prefer Canon lenses. Sorry Tamron. Shipping was quick, product was as advertised and everything else about the lens is as advertise. It is just my personal preference.
